Jalandhar, June 28
About two months after he was announced the state convener of the Aam Aadmi Party, Bhagwant Mann today said the ground work for a new organisational set-up had been done and the main positions would be announced within 15 days.
On the sidelines of a press conference in Jalandhar today, Mann said he and state unit co-president Aman Arora had toured almost all Lok Sabha seats and held meetings with volunteers. “By now, we are familiar with all hardworking activists of the party and have observed their activities and leadership skills. The new state office-bearers, presidents of five zones (including three in Malwa and one each in Doaba and Majha), districts, blocks, wards and villages will be from among such dedicated workers,” he said.
Mann said the process was taking time as the Vidhan Sabha session came in between and the MLAs got busy in the process.
On changes in the selection of candidates for the Municipal Corporation elections, Mann said, “A selection committee would be formed.” — TNS
