New Delhi, February 10

BJP MP from North West Delhi and noted Sufi singer Hans Raj Hans on Saturday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for naming the airport in Ayodhya after Maharishi Valmiki.

Participating in the discussion on the Ram Temple in the Lok Sabha, he said, “If one has to understand Lord Rama, then one should have a feeling of love and equality inside oneself, since even ‘samajwad’ too is His gift to the humanity.”

Hansraj incidentally belongs to the Valmiki community. Hansraj said Lord Rama gave a message of love to the world and he was a symbol of sacrifice. He shunned his rights as a king and lived in forests for several years.

The BJP MP also praised PM Modi for his “penance” during the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple.
