Govt releases Rs 2 cr for railway overbridge

Muktsar: The state government has finally released the first instalment of Rs 2 crore for the historic town’s first railway overbridge (ROB) to be built on the busy Jalalabad road.



Muktsar: The state government has finally released the first instalment of Rs 2 crore for the historic town’s first railway overbridge (ROB) to be built on the busy Jalalabad road. The then Deputy Chief Minister, Sukhbir Singh Badal, had laid the foundation stone of the ROB in 2014. During his visit to the town on January 14 this year, Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal had announced to release the first instalment for the proposed ROB on the next day. However, it took nearly a month to release the funds. TNS
