6 IAS officers transferred

CHANDIGARH: Kumar Rahul has been posted as the Secretary and Director, Mining, after his repatriation to Punjab following a stint in the Food Corporation of India.

Kumar Rahul has been posted as the Secretary and Director, Mining, after his repatriation to Punjab following a stint in the Food Corporation of India. Kumar has been posted as a full-fledged Director in the Department of Mining — being carved out by the state government — relieving Amit Dhaka, who was holding the additional charge of Director, Mining.

Rahul has also got the charge of Commissioner, Ropar Division, relieving VK Meena. In all, six IAS officers were transferred today.

Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal has been posted as the state Transport Commissioner, relieving Tanu Kashyap. Rajat Aggarwal, who was holding the charge of MD, Punjab State Industries Export Corporation, has now got the important post of CEO, Punjab Bureau of Investment Promotion. He relieves RK Verma.

There have been minor changes in the portfolios held by Gurkirat Kirpal Singh, Special Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, who now becomes the Secretary, Information and Public Relations, while Anindita Mitra gets the charge of Director, Public Relations.
