FARIDKOT: The Election Commission of India has selected two IAS officers of Punjab for the national award for best electoral practices.

The Election Commission of India has selected two IAS officers of Punjab for the national award for best electoral practices.

These officers are Ravi Bhagat and Vipul Ujjwal--the district electoral officers of Ludhiana and Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar. 

The awards would be conferred upon the awardees by the President at the national function of the National Voters Day at New Delhi. 

In 2014 elections, they had invented ‘ivote’ a user friendly application, which was made available on ‘Google play store’ it provided various election related utility features like searching EPIC details, finding directions to the one’s polling booth.
