DAV Pakhowal Road branch score a brace

LUDHIANA: DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road branch, scored a brace by winning titles in the boys’ Under-17 and girls’ Under-19 sections in the Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex Basketball Tournament that concluded at DAV School ground, Pakhowal Road, here today.

Ludhiana, December 6

DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road branch, scored a brace by winning titles in the boys’ Under-17 and girls’ Under-19 sections in the Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex Basketball Tournament that concluded at DAV School ground, Pakhowal Road, here today.

Delhi Public School and GGN Public School emerged champions in the girls’ Under-17 and boys’ Under-19 categories, respectively.

In the Under-17 section, Delhi Public School prevailed over DCM Presidency School 25-24 to clinch the title and in the boys’ group, DAV Public School, Pahowal Road branch, overwhelmed BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, 55-22, to lift the title.

Likewise, in the boys’ U-19 category, GGN Public School got the better of DAV Public School, Bhai Randhir Singh branch, 28-24, to romp home champions and in girls’ section, hosts DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road branch, defeated Police DAV School, Civil Lines, to come out triumphant.

Satwant Kaur Bhullar, Principal of the host school, was the chief guest at the prize distribution. She gave away medals and certificates to the position holders.

Rajesh Thakur, head of the physical education department, thanked the participating teams for cooperation in organising the tournament and congratulated the winners.
