Come, heal yourself

Minna Zutshi

It is an unusual Saturday morning for industrialists and professionals from Ludhiana. They are all ears – listening to the talk on self-healing techniques and detoxification of the mind, body and soul. Yogi Ashwini, the guiding light of Dhyan Foundation and authority on the Vedic sciences of Yoga, Tantra, Havan, Vedic Martial Arts, Past-Life and Healing, talks about the experiential basis of spirituality.

“What is unreal is most noisy. It keeps you distracted. When a baby is born, its aura is of a very light pink shade, signifying a high level of purity. Slowly contamination enters as the baby grows up. Pleasures become more, different and intense. The body which is actually a machine gets clogged. The nadis (energy channels) get blocked,” says Yogi Ashwini.

This is a dangerous scenario as in muddy water, one loses clarity. The pleasures and pains become that muddy water for the soul and it loses clarity about the purpose of its birth. “Detoxification takes you through a process of removing the mud. Only when the mud is removed are you able to see what you actually are. Detoxification is not just at the physical level; it is at all three levels – physical, mental and soul level.”

During this spiritual chat, Yogi Ashwini makes an interesting observation on ‘hoarding’. “Hoarding is a problematic practice. When you hoard things, you collect imbalances inside you. Body becomes diseased.”

Various parts of the world have, down the ages, practised various kinds of healing techniques in an attempt to remove the ‘mud’ so that the human journey is beautiful. Some of these techniques are wicca (witchcraft), shamanism (using nature), ayurveda (use of herbs), ashtang yog (use of postures), shatkarmas (cleansing techniques), Anglican pillar of white light healing, drums which come from African jungles, occult, tantra, various forms of martial arts, the psychic surgery, clairvoyance, chromotherapy (sthool and sukshma), mantras, chakral healing, aromatherapy, ancient Chinese healing technique (yin & yang).

Shivan, a Dhyan Foundation volunteer, informs that Yogi Ashwini, who has spent 30 years of his life studying various systems from all over the world, would be personally taking all participants through the self-detox and self-healing sessions in Delhi. Ayurvedarcharyas and doctors have been called as guests to supplement. A four-day self-detox programme from March 27 to 30 would be followed by a three-day self-healing programme from March 30 to April 1.
