Physics is a very important subject, not only for Board exams but also for competetive exams. You should regularly read and practice from your school text book (Eg: NCERT) to stay in the race. Toscore well in this subject the students need to achieve a good balance between numerical problems and definItion or theoretical problems. Let's understand the subject from Board exam point of view:

Questions based on experimental skills are predominant from chapters like Electronic Devices, Current Electricity, Magnetic effect of current etc. Optics is an important area for Boards as it carries 14 marks out of 70.

Questions based on analytical view are mainly asked from Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation, Atom, Nuclei, Communication system & Electromagnetic Waves.

Application-based questions are mainly asked from are Semiconductors, Communication System, Magnetism and Matter, Current Electricity, Electromagnetic Waves, Dual Nature of Matter. Practice High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions.

Do not ignore the NCERT or other school text books. Students who are weak in maths should start with modern physics. These chapters are easy to learn and can ensure that you will not fail.

Eclectrostatics and Magnetism are big units and you can do after Modern Physics.

I will advise to start physics revision as soon as possible and give fresh hours of the day to this subject.

You can improve your basic skills of maths to solve the numerical problems. Usually these problems are simple but are given in a different manner, so do not get scared while reading the long numerical problem.

Do not forget to practice sample and previous year papers. These will give a clear idea about how to approach the topic and also about time Management. Derivations should include small introduction, all Mathematical steps and final result.

You can prepare short notes of important derivations, and practice diagrams (circuit, device etc.) and graphs with proper labelling.

Marks can be deducted even on small errors of S.I.Units and other details, so be careful and attentive while solving the paper.

Time Management in physics paper is an another important task to practice, under the pressure of less time you will not be able to solve even simple and easy problems.

So keep your pace from the beginning. You can begin your paper with long and short answers and prefer numericals over thoeretical based questions.

Nowadays, application-oriented and experiment-based questions have gained importance thus, a clear understanding and analyses of theory and practicals can give you added advantage.

Begin the paper with Section E and then attempt Section C. Time managemnt is very important, For Section E, in first 15 mins marks questions that you are going to attempt, topics to be covered in this section are Electrostatics, Magnetic effect of current, optics & E.M.I +A.C, time required for this section is approx 40 mins, similarly for Section C, time required is 1 hour 15 mins, Section D which is the easiest part requires 5-10 mins and Section A and B combined require 50-55 mins.

Stay positive during this entire time and do some relaxation exercise like jogging, meditation etc.

Plan your revision and do not deviate from it in any condition. It will surely bring success in coming exams.

Dual Nature of Matter+ Atom & Nucleus 14%

Electronic Devices+ Communication System 17%

Complete Optics 20%

Electrostatics+ Current Electricity 21%

Magnetic effectsof current, Magnetism, EM, AC & EMWaves 28%
