Javascript

If you like to work on the designing part of websites or are fascinated by animation, transitions, different interfaces then Javascript is the language for you. Popular programming resource StackOverFlow’s annual report says JavaScript is the most popular language out there with 62.5 per cent user base. Every web-enabled device uses it. Careers in Javascript will always increase with the rise in integration of internet with different devices. It is highly compatible with different frameworks. Beginners need not learn many languages as JavaScript opens doors for several frameworks such as Angular, React, Amber etc. making it the front-end king of languages. Javascript's popularity is in its immediate run time(execution time). JavaScript is not complete in itself and hence certification is not as important as finding a good course in JScript's case. In terms of average salary, it comes at number three in the USA and is the most preferred language by freelancers. Here are a few good online courses:

  • Udemy provides at Rs 770 its most popular JavaScript Course.  https://www.udemy.com/understand-javascript/
  • Coursera: This course is structured to help the beginners.

Java

Ever since its inception in 1995 Java has remained the big daddy of the industry. For students to understand coding in its truest form, learning Java is the best solution.  Being the core language for Android application development too, Java developers often sit pretty when it comes to various platforms such as smart TV, Android and computer software. Like in every field, certification helps us validate our learning of a skill. For Java, Worldwide Certification is provided by Oracle Inc. Certifications in this language are useful since mainstream engineering courses have Java as a core subject. Hence job profiles with such certificates are dealt with priority.

Oracle Certified Associate (OCA): First-level of certification indicating a good basic understanding of the language.

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP): A benchmark for professionals in the field of Java programming.

Python

Decidedly the easiest and a quintessential language in the programming world.  Development of software, websites, web applications everything is done using this neat, clean and powerful language. Python is supported by Google almost vocally.  Python is presently the third most paying language but is comparatively easier to catch on than the top two. Python on a resume makes the candidate eligible for positions such as an Analyst, Software Engineer, Data Scientist, Software developer. Courses are available online on Coursera, Udemy, Lynda. Python as such has no official certification. Institutes in Mumbai, Delhi are providing high-quality classroom training as well.
