Maulana Azad Education Foundation, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India is offering financial support to school going girls belonging to any minority community for their continuous gap-free education.

Eligibility: Girl students belonging to any minority community i.e., Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Parsis, studying in Class IX-XII can apply for this scholarship. The applicant must have secured minimum 50 per cent or equivalent in aggregate in previous class with family income not more than Rs 2 lakh. 

Details: Students of Class IX and X will receive Rs 10,000 and Class XI and XII will be given Rs 12,000 in two equal instalments towards their admission and tuition fee.

FAER McAfee Scholar Awards

The programme encourages creativity and innovation amongst polytechnics and engineering students particularly belonging to rural and semi-urban areas and motivate them to work on areas and topics of relevance related to rural areas, rural communications, agricultural information systems, e-governance, resource utilisation, ecology, watershed development, renewable resources, etc.

Eligibility: Bright and meritorious students from all over the country of engineering institutions will be selected by the experts in the areas of computer science, mobile communications, renewal energy systems, signal processing, rural technologies, healthcare technologies, labour-saving technologies of women, ecology and environment and mobile applications.

Details: First, second and third position holders will be offered Rs 1,00,000, Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000, respectively.

For college and university students

The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has announced the scheme to give financial assistance for hassle-free higher education to students undergoing financial duress. 

Eligibility: Candidate must have cleared Class XII (with above 80 percentage) and must be enrolled as regular student in any recognised institute, with family income not more than Rs 6 lakh p.a. The candidate must not be availing any other scholarship.

Details: Scholars will be given Rs 10,000 p.a. for first three years and Rs 20,000 p.a. for 4th and 5th year.

Adobe Research Women-in-Technology Scholarship

Female under-graduate students who have opted computer science as their career plan are called by Adobe Research to bring gender diversity. 

Eligibility: Candidate must be academically strong female student who intend to or is enrolled in undergraduate programme of computer science, computer engineering, or in any technical programme in current academic session are welcomed to apply for the opportunity.

Details: Selected candidate will be given $10,000 for one time, creative cloud subscription for an year and an opportunity to be interviewed for an internship at Adobe.
