Truck mows down man at Ban toll plaza

Jammu, February 22

A truck crushed a man to death at the Ban toll plaza on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway on Tuesday. The truck also hit two vehicles waiting in a queue to pay the toll.

The victim has been identified as Surjeet Kumar of the Jagto Jhari area.

As per the police, the truck after striking two cars in the queue, hit Surjeet Kumar killing him on the spot. The truck driver possibly lost control over the vehicle. The police said the truck driver, Harnam Singh, has been arrested. — TNS
