In order to review and discuss the functioning of J&K Police Housing Corporation, the Director General of Police (DGP), SP Vaid, today chaired the 37th board of directors’ meeting here yesterday.
The meeting took various decisions to enhance the pace of progress in different fields of working of the corporation.
Vaid said the Police Housing Corporation (PHC) was established to undertake mega-building infrastructure plan for Jammu and Kashmir Police under its modernisation programme. The corporation had constructed a large building infrastructure in different areas of the state to enhance living facilities for the personnel, he added.
The DGP stressed for transparency in the working of the corporation and completion of projects within the prescribed period of time so that the purpose of projects was fulfilled. He called for perspective planning in infrastructural development, keeping in view the future requirements of the police.
Earlier, managing director, PHC, AK Choudhary apprised the board members about the construction activities of the corporation being carried out across the state.
