Three drug peddlers held

The police arrested three drugs peddlers and recovered 20 gm of heroin and 15 kg of poppy husk from their possession in three different cases.

Superintendent of Police Harwinder Singh today said that one drug peddler, Sagar Thapar of Balmiki Mohalla, was nabbed with 10 gm of heroin at a checkpoint near Sunnrra Rajputan last night. In another case, Gobinda, a resident of Balmiki Mohalla, Satnampura, was arrested near Darveshpind with 10 gm of heroin. In third case, the police arrested a Madhya Pardesh-resident Chander Prakash and recovered 15 kg of poppy husk from his possession last night. The accused was nabbed at a check point near Nakodar Chowk, Hadiabad, the Superintendent of the Police said. The accused was going in a truck to deliver the intoxicants. The police have also impounded the truck.
