Teachers sans salaries

Jalandhar, December 13

As many as 150 teachers of the Nakodar-I block have been without salary since their salary bills have not been cleared.

The teachers said the salary bills worth Rs 2.5 lakh submitted to the Block Primary Education Officer (BPEO) were not cleared.

DEO (primary) Rampal said, “We have cleared the dues of the various blocks. Only the November bills are pending. I will look into the issues of this particular block. We will clear all the salary bills as soon as we receive them.” — TNS
