Novelists Negi, Bandhan honoured

JALANDHAR: Noted Punjabi novelist Chandan Negi was here today honoured with “Kewal Vig Award” of the year 2017 for her contribution in the sphere of Punjabi novels as the “Best novelist”.

Noted Punjabi novelist Chandan Negi was here today honoured with “Kewal Vig Award” of the year 2017 for her contribution in the sphere of Punjabi novels as the “Best novelist”. Dr Baldev Singh Badhan, who has penned down more than 200 books in Punjabi literature, was also honoured as the “Best writer”.

The function was held at KL Saigal Memorial Hall. Both awardees were presented citations, mementoes and shawls for their contributions in the function. Dr Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, ATS, Punjab, was the Chief Guest. Pawan Harchandpuri, General Secretary, Kendri Punjabi Lekhak Sabha and Rajinder Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, were the guests of honour. The function was presided over by Dr Chander Shekhar, former DGP Punjab.
