Ravina, manager of the Youth Football Club (YFC), Rurka Kalan, has come back after attending a 10-day project management seminar in Japan recently.
The YFC is a leading sports, youth development and social organisation at the national and international levels.
As many as 30 representatives from all around the world took part in the seminar. Ravina was the only one from India who participated in the seminar.
During the seminar, the representatives gave training to the participants in conducting various projects, hone up leadership skills and lectures in other modules.
Representative from various organisations, including Fight for Peace and Blaze Sports, trained participants how to make project proposals and how to make it successful.
Gurmangal Dass Soni, president, YFC, said even in the past, many members of the organisation had attended various camps, seminars and workshops in foreign countries.
Soni said the 10-day conference in Japan was aimed at giving training to project managers in handling different types of projects. The selected individual would be able to further train the volunteers for maximum reach at the grassroots level, he added.
The YFC is running various programmes at different levels for the overall development of the youngsters through sports. At YFC, as many as 7,000 youngsters from different villages of Punjab are getting training free of cost. They are also getting employment opportunities at various levels in the organisation.
It is a matter of pride that YFC members, including sports persons, are invited to take part in different kinds of coaching, sports, capacity building and youth leadership programmes by renowned national and international organisations.
To date, the YFC members have participated in workshops, seminars and coaching courses held in Japan, Germany, Vietnam, France, Malaysia and other countries.
