Jammu, January 15
The Jammu and Kashmir police on Monday attached property of a drug peddler in Kulgam district. The property is believed to have been acquired through drug money.
In an official statement, the police said in its continued proactive actions against offenders, a two-storey residential house measuring 625 square feet, belonging to a notorious drug peddler, Mashooq Ahmed Sheikh, a resident of Khudwani, Kulgam, was attached under Section 68-F(2) of NDPS Act, 1985.
“The property was prima facie acquired from illicit trafficking in narcotic drug and psychotropic substances by the owner,” police said. The said drug peddler is involved in case FIR numbers 66/2023 of Qaimoh police station.
