Shimla, February 21

Accusing the BJP government of being insensitive towards women, State Mahila Congress expressed anger over the ‘rising inflation’, saying it was affecting women and homemakers the most.

Addressing a press conference here today, State Mahila Congress vice-president Kavita Kanwar said that the Modi government was indifferent to the plight of women. “In the past decade, the BJP government has proved to be a complete failure in controlling inflation. Instead of providing subsidy or price control on essential commodities, the Central Government has written off bank loans worth Rs 10 lakh crore of the friendly industrialists,” she said. The prices of daily use items such as vegetables, pulses and edible oil were skyrocketing.
