A seminar on Earth Day was organised at RKSD College here on Sunday. Dhumman Singh Kirmach, national chairman of ‘Neer Foundation’, stressed upon the need to make judicious use of underground water to keep the Earth green.
Shailendra Shukla, chairman HREDA, said people should take a pledge to conserve water as deficient rain during the recent years had added to the depleting watertable. Prashant Bhardwaj, vice-chairman, Haryana Saraswati Heritage Board, said the state government had taken an initiative to revive the underground Saraswati. He said efforts were on to find its traditional route and bring it back so that its water could be used.
