Rewari, April 22

State Congress chief Ashok Tanwar has said party’s Jan Aakrosh Rally in New Delhi on April 29 would not only prove a milestone, but also give a new direction to national politics.

He said this at a party workers’ meeting at the house of former minister Capt Ajay Yadav here on Sunday. “The BJP government at the Centre and in the state misled people by making hollow promises. It has failed to curb corruption, unemployment and inflation. It is dividing people on caste and religious lines,” Tanwar said.

Later in Jhajjar, he told the media the BJP government was to blame for tardy lifting of wheat. “On one hand, farmers are facing problems in selling their produce at the MSP and, on the other, the government is making false claims of doubling farm income,” the Congress leader said.
