NHAI team inspects projects

SONEPAT: Led by Deputy Commissioner KM Pandurang, a National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) team, headed by Manish Rastogi, chief general manager, today visited different areas in the district and conducted an on-the-spot assessment of the construction of bypasses and flyovers on National Highway-334-B(Meerut-Sonepat-Kharkhoda-Sampla-Jhajjar-Loharu) within revenue limits of the district.

Led by Deputy Commissioner KM Pandurang, a National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) team, headed by Manish Rastogi, chief general manager, today visited different areas in the district and conducted an on-the-spot assessment of the construction of bypasses and flyovers on National Highway-334-B(Meerut-Sonepat-Kharkhoda-Sampla-Jhajjar-Loharu) within revenue limits of the district.

According to the DC, the team discussed construction of a bypass from Bahalgarh on the GT road to Rohat village via Jindal Global University to avoid entrance of vehicles in Sonepat town. The team also discussed another bypass to be constructed around Khewra village.

The team also visited Rohat-Kakroi village and Badwasni for construction of a bypass in Sonepat town for the proposed NH-352A (Sonepat-Gohana-Jind).

Holiday on July 25
Sonepat: The Haryana Government has notified that July 25, the day of poll for general elections of Gram Panchayat Hassanpur, block Hodal in district Palwal, will be observed as public holiday in educational and other institutions of the state government. The public holiday will be observed under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. TNS

Karnal: Twenty four cane development officials led by Rajiv Gupta, GM (cane), on Tuesday visited the Sugarcane Breeding Institute. They were shown varieties developed by the centre.
