Sonepat, July 19

Minister of State for Public Health Banwari Lal said that abolition of political recommendations for recruitment in government services was the biggest achievement of the state government.

“Merit has been the only criteria in recruitment,” he said, while addressing public meetings after inaugurating water supply projects in Kakana and Ratangarh villages of the district.

Recalling that teachers used to remain upset over their transfers, he said that during recent transfers, most of the teachers got the stations of their choice just pressing a button.

Haryana Women Commission chairperson Suman Arya and district BJP president Dr Dharambir Nandal also spoke on the occasion.--OC
