Kisan-lathi rally on July 22

A Kisan-lathi rally will be organised at Ateli town here on July 22 against the BJP governments at the Centre and in the state for not fulfilling their election promises.

Former MLA Naresh Yadav, who is the organiser of the rally, said HPCC president Ashok Tanwar, Congress Legislative Party leader Kiran Choudhry, former minister Capt Ajay Yadav, former MP Shruti Choudhry and several other senior party leaders would attend the rally in the Ahirwal region to launch a campaign against the BJP governments.

Yadav, while addressing mediapersons here yesteray, said farmers were depressed due to anti-farmer policies of the Central and state governments. “Farmers are feeling cheated as the BJP government has failed to implement the Swaminathan commission’s report in the name of which it had sought votes from them,” he added. — TNS
