5-day sports meet begins at HAU

Hisar, March 25

Agriculture Minister Om Prakash Dhankar today inaugurated an inter-agriculture university sports meet at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agriculture University (HAU) here.

Addressing sportspersons, Dhankar said: “Sports inculcates discipline, hard work in individuals and helps in developing a coherent society.” Over 2,500 participants from nearly 60 teams of agricultural, veterinary and animal science universities and educational institutions of Indian Council of Agricultural Research from across the country are participating in the event.

The minister urged them to participate in the events with sportsman spirit and passion. “A player never loses his enthusiasm by getting defeated in the game rather defeats help the player to learn a lot,” he said. — TNS
