4 suspended for dereliction of duty

KARNAL: Transport Minister Krishan Panwar has suspended four employees for being absent from duty.

Transport Minister Krishan Panwar has suspended four employees for being absent from duty. During a surprise visit to check-points set up to keep a vigil on overloaded vehicles here on Sunday, the minister found four employees absent from duty.

He directed the employees to remain vigilant as negligence would not be tolerated at any cost. The minister seized four overloaded vehicles from near the Highway Police Station and Manglora check-point. He also inspected check-point at Ramba village where all employees were present.

“I have checked the attendance of the employees at Manglora check-point and found seven employees out of 11 present. I have suspended Shiv Kumar and Joginder Kumar, employees of UHBVN, Ramesh Kumar, clerk, DIET, Shahpur, and Ram Kumar, an employee of the District Education Office,” said the minister. Overloaded vehicles would not be allowed to ply on the roads and action would be initiated negligent employees, he added. — TNS
