'Defaming' Speaker's brother: Five-day remand for accused

Yamunanagar: Ram Nath of Ambala district, who has been booked for defaming Haryana Assembly Speaker''s brother by circulating an audio on WhatsApp, was today produced in a court here.



Yamunanagar: Ram Nath of Ambala district, who has been booked for defaming Haryana Assembly Speaker's brother by circulating an audio on WhatsApp, was today produced in a court here. He had been lodged in the Ambala Central Jail in a suicide case. He was sent in taken on five-day police remand. He was booked by the Khizrabad police of Yamunanagar district under various Sections of the IPC, including 120B (hatching a criminal conspiracy) and the IT Act, 2000, on the complaint of Ashok Kumar, Speaker's brother, on March 15. Sources said Ram Nath had named some persons, including an Inspector of the Haryana Police and a man from UP, for helping him make and circulate the audio defaming the Speaker's brother. TNS
