A two-year-old boy died as a vessel of boiling water fell on him in Jahangirpuri yesterday, said a police official.

The mother of the child had boiled water and poured it in a bucket. His father and brother were also present in the room when the incident happened.

They were busy in talking. The child stood up and caught hold of the bucket but it fell on him. He received burns on his body. The parents took him to Jagjivan Ram Hospital.

The doctors in the hospital were busy in talking on mobile even after seeing the child and didn’t respond to him promptly, alleged the family.

They decided to take him to some other hospital, meanwhile the child died, said the official.

The family alleged that the child died due to negligence of the doctors. The police are investigating the matter.
