Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash was allegedly roughed up by AAP MLAs during a meeting at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence on Monday late night, said a police official.

The police have filed an FIR on a complaint from Chief Secretary under various sections, including 120B (criminal conspiracy), 186 (obstructing a public servant from performing the duty) and 353 (assault on public servant) against AAP’s Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan and others, said Special Commissioner of Delhi Police and chief PRO (Delhi Police) Depender Pathak.

“The Civil Lines police station today received a complaint from Anshu Prakash against around 12 AAP MLAs and we have sought legal opinion before initiating any action”, said Pathak.

A senior Delhi Police officer (Central) also confirmed that AAP leader Ashish Khetan made a call to the police control room (PCR), saying that he was mandhandled. Police are checking the veracity of his claims.

Another AAP MLA Imran Hussain has also filed a complaint at the Indraprastha Estate police station alleging that staff threatened and thrashed him and snatched his mobile phone also, said the official.

Khetan said, “There was a riot like situation at the Delhi Secretariat. Slogans of ‘maro, maro’ were heard, he claims. Environment Minister Imran Hussain has filed compliant after both of us were attacked at the Secretariat.”

However, Imran and Khetan denied that the Chief Secretary was assaulted by his party MLAs.
