Deepkarman, a resident of Talwara, bagged the third position in the National-Level Abacus Programme, organised by Champions Group at Chandigarh. Prize distribution function of the event was held at Chandigarh today.
Pawan Kumar Bansal, Ex-Union Cabinet Minister, graced the occasion as the chief guest. He distributed the prizes among the winners.
He said every child should get better education, which would help them in making a better future. Sanjeev Kumar, director, Champions Group, told that 8,457 students from Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, J&K, Uttrakhand, Himachal, Maharashtra, Gujrat and Rajasthan participated in the championship, which was held at Lajpat Rai Bhawan on October 14.
Nitin Kumar, managing partner, Eminent Tutorials Point, said such type of competitions create an awareness towards abacus education.
