Youth nabbed for snatching

Chandigarh: The police nabbed a youth a few hours after he had fled after snatching a man’s purse at Burail village in Sector 45 on Tuesday. At 9.30 am, the Bullet-borne accused, Manu, alias Batta, a resident of Burail, snatched a purse containing Rs 4,000 and other documents from Chandan Kumar of Teen Colony in Sector 52. A case was registered in this connection at the Sector 34 police station. A few hours after the incident, a team, led by Sub-Inspector Satnam Singh, incharge, Burail police post, arrested the accused. The victim’s purse has been recovered from him. The cop said Manu was also involved in a snatching incident reported last year. The accused will be produced in a court on Wednesday. TNS
