Vendor killed ‘over rent’

PANCHKULA:A youth was murdered at Bhainsa Tibba village of Mansa Devi Complex, Panchkula, tonight.



Panchkula, February 18

A youth was murdered at Bhainsa Tibba village of Mansa Devi Complex, Panchkula, tonight. The deceased has been identified as Rambir (27), a tea vendor, who ran a stall at Mansa Devi Complex.

Sources said Rambir had not paid rent of the past few months. He had heated arguments with his landlord today, which turned into a fight. The matter resulted in his death, they said.

The family, who brought him to General Hospital, Sector 6, even blamed the doctors for the delay in his treatment.

Meanwhile, Dr Sanjeev Trehan, Civil surgeon, said a tea vendor was brought dead but when the family created a scene, they called the police.

The police were recording the statements of the deceased’s family when the reports last came in. —TNS
