Panchkula, April 19

The body of a resident of Sector 15 was found at a park in Sector 5 today. Police officials said they received a call regarding the matter around 10 am. The deceased has been identified as Davinder (55), a retired employee of the state Education Department.

“His body was found at the Silver Jubilee Park in Sector 5. It was handed over to his family after post-mortem,” said the police officials.

The police have registered an FIR under Section 302 (murder) on a statement of the man’s father. Onlookers said there were visible injury marks on the body. Sector 5 SHO Rupesh Chaudhary said the police were yet to receive the post-mortem report.
