Kharar: Chuhar Singh, a resident of Mankheri village here, died after he was knocked down by a speeding motorcycle near the village on the Kharar-Morinda road on Friday. He was returning home from a walk when near the gate of the village a speeding motorcycle hit him. He was seriously injured and taken to the Civil Hospital in Kharar where he was given first aid and then shifted to the GMCH-32, Chandigarh. OC
Man loses finger in scuffle
Panchkula: A minor argument between two neighbours end up in one of them loosing his finger at Sector 10 here on Friday. Ajay, a resident of Sector 10, told the police that on Friday morning when he was going to his office, his neighbour Tajinder started arguing with him over some issue. A scuffle also took place between them and Tajinder allegedly cut his finger with his teeth, he told the police. Ajay’s finger was cut and he was admitted to the General Hospital, Sector 6, Panchkula. TNS
Man hurt in road mishap
Zirakpur: A 40-year-old man sustained injuries when his Swift Dzire car was hit by a truck coming from the opposite direction on the Zirakpur-Patiala road near the Chhat intersection. The victim, Pardeep Baliyan, a resident of Ambala City, is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Panchkula. The victim told the police that he worked with a private company in Chandigarh and when he was returning home on the night of November 13 after finishing his work, a truck coming from the opposite side hit his car.
