CHANDIGARH:A cheating case has been registered at the Sector 31 police station.

Chandigarh, January 18

A cheating case has been registered at the Sector 31 police station. According to the police, complainant Naresh Kumar Pradhan, who has his shop, Archita Enterprises, at Hallo Majra, reported that he is running an Airtel Money distributor business.

He reported that on September 2, 2017, he saw that his distributor SIM card was not working and on enquiring with the company he was issued a new SIM card.

The police said the complainant alleged that when he checked his remaining balance, he further came to know that the remaining balance of Rs 1.74 lakh in his SIM card was transferred to another person, a resident of Raipur Khurd. A case under Sections 420 of the IPC and Sections 66-C, 66-D of the IT Act-2000 has been registered at the Sector 31 police station and an investigation has been initiated.
