Chandigarh, January 17

Three early morning flights--Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru--were cancelled while several were late due to various reasons, including fog and low visibility, at the Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport Chandigarh.

The early morning flight to Chennai was late by around four hours.

Trains delayed

While dense fog conditions continue to prevail over the region, several trains arriving at the Chandigarh railway station are either running behind schedule or have been rescheduled.

The New Delhi-Kalka Shatabdi (12011) has been rescheduled by 5 hours and 50 minutes. It will now depart from the New Delhi railway station at 1.30 pm, against its usual departure of 7.40 am. The New Delhi-Amb Andaura Vandhe Bharat Express (22447) arrived at the Chandigarh railway station 56 minutes late at 9.34 am, against its scheduled arrival of 8.40 am.

The Netaji Express (12311) departed from Howrah at 3.29 am with a delay of 5 hours and 30 minutes. It is expected to reach Chandigarh railway station at 3.45 am Thursday morning. The Lucknow-Chandigarh Express (12231) is running behind its schedule by 3 hours, even though it started its journey on right time from Lucknow.

It is expected to reach Chandigarh station at 12.56 pm against its scheduled arrival of 10.05 am.

The Pashmin Express (Amritsar-Mumbai central) (12926) is currently running behind schedule by 1.30 hours. It is expected to reach Chandigarh at 1.26 pm against its scheduled arrival 12.10 pm.
