CHANDIGARH:The Department of Laws, Panjab University, Chandigarh, organised an annual demonstration moot, here today.

The Department of Laws, Panjab University, Chandigarh, organised an annual demonstration moot, here today.

Justice Lisa Gill, Justice Deepak Sibal and Justice Rajbir Sehrawat, Judges of Punjab and Haryana High Court, presided over the proceedings of the demonstration moot. The moot proposition relating to the family law was argued by four leading advocates of Punjab and Haryana High Court. 

The demonstration moot is an annual feature of the department in which the students are equipped to learn the court ethics. This is a part of practical training to the budding lawyers.

Chairperson Prof Shalini Marwaha, while welcoming the judges, stated that the Department of Laws has best relationship with the Bench and the Bar and it has always got full support from the judges of the High Court as well as from the members of the Bar in giving practical training to the students of the department.
