Accident victim dies at hospital

Mohali, November 17

A woman (36), who met with a road accident, succumbed to her injuries at a hospital in Sector 71, here. The victim, Satinder Kaur from Sector 71, was hit by a Mahindra XUV, driven by Harjit Kaur, also a resident of the same sector, in the parking lot of the area’s market on November 6. Satinder was under treatment at the hospital. The police have booked Harjit Kaur under Sections 304A and 279 of the IPC.

Satinder, along with her 13-year-old son Daman, was on Activa scooter at the time of the incident. Daman sustained minor injuries in the accident. The deceased is said to be the daughter of a senior official of the Revenue Department, Punjab. — TNS
