Mohali, January 20
A 33-year-old woman, staying as a paying guest (PG)in Phase 3-A here, allegedly hanged herself in her room today.
The victim, Sharanjit Kaur who belonged to Amritsar., was working as a designer with a private company in the Industrial Area here.
Mataur SHOInspector Jarnail Singh said the matter came to light when her former roommate, who had recently got married, came to meet her this evening.
“After seeing Sharanjit hanging from a ceiling fan, her friend immediately called the neighbours and informed the police,” said the SHO. He said the victim blamed nobody in a suicide note found at the spot. “She wrote that she was feeling depressed,” said Inspector Jarnail Singh. — TNS
