Woman booked for getting father-in-law thrashed

BATHINDA: A woman allegedly called up her relatives and got her father-in-law beaten up on Monday at Janta Nagar.

A woman allegedly called up her relatives and got her father-in-law beaten up on Monday at Janta Nagar.

The Kotwali police have registered a case against the accused and her relatives on the basis of the complaint by the injured father-in-law.

Ramesh Kumar, a resident of Janta Nagar, has stated that on May 21, accused Kuno Ram and Gurpreet Singh, residents of Moga, Binder and Rama, residents of Sanjay Nagar, Sheila, Basa and Taram Dhara, residents of Bathinda city, and other eight other unidentified persons beat him up.

He has stated that the accused are relatives of her daughter-in-law.

He said a few days ago, his wife and daughter-in-law had a fight over some trivial issue and irked over which, she got him thrashed.
