BATHINDA: Six persons of a family have been booked in a dowry case.

Six persons of a family have been booked in a dowry case.

In a complaint lodged by Navjot Kaur, a city resident, it has been stated that her husband Jatinderpal Singh, her mother-in-law Pal Kaur, her father-in-law Jeet Singh, brother-in-law Varinder Singh, a resident of Sirsa district in Haryana and her husband’s relatives Baljinder Kaur and Davinder Singh, residents of Hanumangarh in Rajasthan, used to harass her for bringing more dowry.

A case under section 498-A and 406 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused at the women’s police station.
