Maluka Jr accuses Cong of grabbing co-operative bank management

BATHINDA: SAD leader and Zila Parishad chairman Gurpreet Singh Maluka today accused the Congress of forcefully trying to grab the management of the co-operative bank and accused the bank officials of dilly-dallying in giving election-related information to the SAD candidates.

SAD leader and Zila Parishad chairman Gurpreet Singh Maluka today accused the Congress of forcefully trying to grab the management of the co-operative bank and accused the bank officials of dilly-dallying in giving election-related information to the SAD candidates.

The term of the board of Central Cooperative Bank got over on April 2, and the election to constitute a new board has been announced, which will begin on July 24. The papers would be filed on July 25 and it can be taken back on July 26. On July 29, votes would be polled for the post of director.

SAD candidates Gurpreet Singh, Rattan Sharma and Buta Singh, headed by former chairman Jasvir Singh Brar today visited the main office of the bank, where managing director Jagdish Sandhu and district manager Gitika were not present.

Later, when they went to the DR Dharma Desh, where superintendent Swaranjit Kaur marked the letter for the information. Meanwhile, the DR who was not in office, reportedly told the officials over the phone not to give the receipt of the letter.
