Bathinda: The police have arrested four persons with illicit liquor and one with poppy husk.



Bathinda: The police have arrested four persons with illicit liquor and one with poppy husk. One accused has been absconding in case of Excise Act. Three cases have been registered at various police stations. In the first case, the Talwandi Sabo police have arrested Jagtar Singh, a resident of Lelewala village, with 15 kg of poppy husk and recovered an Indica car (HR-11Z-0348) from Talwandi Sabo. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act at the Talwandi Sabo police station. The Talwandi Sabo police arrested Kulwinder Singh with 144 bottles of illicit liquor from Behman Kor Singh village and recovered a motorcycle. Satnam Singh, a resident of Ghuman Kalan, have been absconding. Both accused have been booked under the Excise Act. The Raman police have arrested Hemraj, Rupesh Kumar and Rupinder Singh, residents of Raman Mandi, with 24 bottles of illicit liquor.
