The Municipal Corporation Bathinda (MCB) has scheduled its Finance & Contract Committee (F&CC) meeting for July 20. Four agenda items would be taken up for approval during the meeting.
The proposal of giving Rose Garden canteen on contract for three years would also taken up for discussion.
The MCB had conducted the auction for the canteen on June 28 in which three contractors participated and deposited the security amount.
The estimated cost for the contract of the canteen was kept at Rs 3 lakh per year.
Rajiv Kumar made the highest bid of Rs 3.14 lakh. In the hope of getting approval from the F&CC, the MCB had given the work to Rajiv Kumar.
Another proposal of toner paper for computer printers would also be taken up. The MCB has estimated Rs 9.13 lakh for the purchase of toner paper.
Three contractors made bids for this contract held through e-tendering. Shakti Engineering Company quoted the lowest price at 23.23 per cent below the estimated price of Rs 7.00 lakh.
Even the agenda for the purchase of stationary would also be taken up.
The estimated cost of this work was kept at Rs 4.38 lakh. TR Traders quoted the lowest price at 28.10 per cent below its estimated quote at Rs 3.14 lakh.
Mayor Balwant Rai Nath said the F&CC meeting had been fixed for July 20 as some urgent purchase had to be made due to which these tenders would be taken up for discussion and approval.
