Bathinda , March 24

Max Super Specialty Hospital, Bathinda, organised a seminar on kidney disease here recently.

Speaking at the seminar, Dr JJ Singh, consultant, Max Super Specialty Hospital, said kidney failure cases had notably increased with a change in the lifestyle.

He said, “Once a person suffers from kidney-related diseases, he or she gets depressed. The truth is that if a proper treatment and some precautions are taken under the supervision of a good nephrologist, the patient can lead a good life. When you know about the symptoms of chronic kidney disease, you can get treatment.”

“If a patient finds symptoms such as fatigue, being tired all of the time; feeling cold; shortness of breath; feeling faint; dizzy and weak; swelling in hands or feet; upset stomach; nausea; vomiting; urinate more often especially at night; foamy or bubbly urine and it may be dark in colour, then he or she should consult the doctor to get the blood and urine tests done,” added Dr JJ Singh.
