Traders upbeat over e-way bill limit increase

AMRITSAR: City-based traders are upbeat as the state government has decided to increase the intrastate e-way bill limit for goods from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh.

City-based traders are upbeat as the state government has decided to increase the intrastate e-way bill limit for goods from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh.

It was decided after a delegation of the local business community, led by Cabinet Minister OP Soni, met Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal in Chandigarh.

On the lines of the Tamil Nadu government, the state government doubled the limit of goods for intrastate movement under clause 138 (14) of the GST Act, Punjab Pradesh Beopar Mandal Preident PL Seth said.

PPBM general secretary Sunil Mehra said, the finance minister assured to look into other demands of the business fraternity.
