Non-teaching assn holds meeting

The GNDU Non-teaching Association today held its General House meeting under the aegis of its president Hardeep Singh Nagra.

Association joint secretary Manpreet Singh read out memorandum of demands for the financial year 2016-17 at the beginning of the meet.

Secretary Balveer Singh Garcha appealed to the administration of Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) to impress upon the state government to confirm contractual employees.

Members exchanged their views to resume stalled promotions of employees of press, library and electricity wings at par with Punjabi University grade.

They also demanded installation of lift at the administrative block and air conditioners run by solar energy.
