Five persons have been booked for allegedly abducting a girl from Pandori Rehmana village. The incident took place around a week ago but the case was lodged on Tuesday.

The girl’s family told the police that one Harpreet Singh, alias Happy, of Pandori Ran Singh village along with his four accomplices, armed with firearms, came to their house and threatened the parents to kill their son if they didn’t send the girl to the nearby Gohalwar village.

The family took the girl to Gohalwar village fearing for their lives and dropped her and two of the accused, meanwhile, were present at their house pointing a gun at their son. The parents returned after leaving her in Gohalwar village. After that, Harpreet took her somewhere in his car.

However, it is not yet clear if the girl is known to the accused and if there is any love affair.

The Chabal police have registered a case under Sections 363, 366, 506, 148 and 149 of the IPC.
