Chaos prevailed at the office of District Education Officer (Secondary) Sunita Kiran after it was came to light that the mathematics question paper of the PSEB Class XII was allegedly leaked on Tuesday.
However, the PSEB cancelled the exam later in the day.
After the PSEB authorities asked not to distribute the question paper, examination controllers reached the DEO’s office to know about the steps to be taken. A number of them could be seen asking the staff at the centres to make sure that students are seated.
“There must be some clarity on the steps to be taken. If the examination is to be conducted, we must be given the question paper. Otherwise, it is too late,” said, one of the controllers present at the DEO’s office.
The DEO (Secondary) had convened a meeting of officials in the afternoon. However, it took hours to clear the picture. Most of the controllers were seen waiting for the meeting with the DEO.
Most of them heaved a sigh of relief after the examination was cancelled by the board. DEO Sunita Kiran was unavailable for her comments.
