Ludhiana, May 14
To cope with spurt of the passenger traffic during the summer season, the Railways have introduced Weekly AC Express between Nagpur and Amritsar. The new train 22125/22126 commenced its regular run from May 13.
The 22125 Nagpur-Amritsar Weekly AC Express train will depart from Nagpur on every Saturday — starting from May 13 — at 5.50 pm. On the return, the 22126 Amritsar-Nagpur train will depart from Amritsar on every Monday — from May 15— at 4.10 am.
During its run from Nagpur to Amritsar, the train will have a 10-minute halt at Ludhiana from 6.25 pm to 6.35 pm (on every Sunday) while on its run from Amritsar to Nagpur, it will have a five-minute stoppage from 6.15 to 6.20 am (on every Monday). The train will stop at Bhopal, Jhansi, Gwalior, Agra Cantt, New Delhi, Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana and Jalandhar City stations. —OC
Trains restored
According to railway officials, the 12237/12238 Varanasi-Jammu Tawi-Varanasi Begumpura Superfast Express train, which was to remain cancelled from May 12 to 18 from Varanasi and from May 13 to 19 from Jammu Tawi due to non-interlocking (doubling) work in progress on the Lucknow-Sultanpur-Zafrabad section, has been restored.
Trains cancelled
Due to non-interlocking (doubling) work of Koiripur, Harpalganj and Srikrishnanagar stations on the Lucknow-Sultanpur-Zafrabad section, the 13049 Howrah-Amritsar Express train (journey commencing on May 11 to 17), the 13050 Amritsar-Howrah Express train (journey commencing on May 13 to 19), the 12331 Howrah-Jammu Tawi Himgiri Express train (journey commencing on May 12, 13 and 16) and the 12332 Jammu Tawi- Howrah Himgiri Express train (journey commencing on May 14, 15 and 18) will remain cancelled.
