The only thing that needs to be redefined is the term remix itself. “Both the concept of clubs and remixes have been brought from the West. If you don’t have remixes, you don’t have clubs, it is as simple as that. You need to hear the best of old world melodies against new sound technology…Remix is a genre of its own,” DJ Akbar Sami addresses the moot point for the Nth time and silences his critics and even his followers alike.
